OWNERS GERALD + JOSE
Gerald McCowan brings a wealth of experience to Rumours, transitioning from military service to hospitality management and bartending in LGBTQ+ spaces.
His journey, shaped by personal challenges and resilience, has inspired a vision for creating a truly inclusive venue that celebrates and supports the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in Halifax.
Together with his husband, José Chiu, Gerald is committed to making Rumours a space where everyone feels a sense of belonging and connection. Rooted in their shared passion for fostering community, Rumours stands as a safe and welcoming environment for all who enter.
